ECHS is a family business. In her search for a better way for students to learn English as a second language, make friends with Americans, and learn about our culture the idea for a teacher’s homestay program was developed. Students learning a language stay with a host family in the city of their choice and learn the language in an immersive environment. These cities are located all over the world, including the U.S., Canada, Europe and Africa.

Laurel contacted Hang Wire Seattle Affordable Web Design to redesign their old site which was no longer meeting their needs. After consulting with her we formed the goal of creating a new website which would be image heavy (showcasing students with their host families and exploring their local surroundings) while also being clear and concise with the necessary tools for host families and students to apply directly via the website. WordPress Gravity forms are used to allow online submission, notification and tracking.
